LS polls: "BJP will win more than 75 seats in UP; will also bag Amethi, Azamgarh", claims Yogi

The UP CM asserted that this time the party will also capture Azamgarh and Amethi seats.

New Delhi: Claiming big ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditynath has said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will bag more than 75 seats in the polls. He also asserted that this time the party will also capture Azamgarh and Amethi seats. Uttar Pradesh which holds the maximum number of seats to the Parliament has total of 80 constituencies under it, which are to play a decisive role in the elections. Yogi was speaking at ABP News’ Shikhar Samagam on Sunday, where he also launched an attack at SP and BSP. He said “both the parties are examples of corruption and should be kept in a museum”. Expressing concern for Amethi, Adityanath said that today if any place needs development the most, it is Amethi as it has been deprived of progress since last four generations. Speaking of the Ram Temple issue, Adityanath said that if mediation can provide a solution to the issue, then it is most welcome. While talking to ABP News, Yogi said that Lord Rama was born in Ayodhya and he deserves to get that respect there. “Had mediation been introduced as a solution earlier, I would be the first person to welcome it", said the UP CM. The Supreme Court  on Friday referred the Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case for a court-appointed and monitored mediation in order to seek a permanent solution to the issue. A five-judge Constitution bench headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi passed the order of mediation in the Ayodhya title suit. As per reports, the apex court has asked to start the mediation within a week at Faizabad and Uttar Pradesh government will have to make arrangements for the same. The mediation panel has to give its report within four weeks. The top court has appointed a three-member mediation panel headed by Justice FM Khalifulah, the retired Supreme Court judge. The mediation will be at liberty to induct more mediators or seek legal assistance. Art of Living head Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and senior advocate Sriram Panchu are the other mediators on the panel.
