New Delhi: Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the Congress party. He said that had the people voted differently in the 2019 General Elections, Kota could have faced the influence of the now-banned Popular Front of India (PFI).

While addressing the Vijay Sankalp Mahasammelan in Kota, Rajasthan, Shah said, "If you had voted for Congress in 2019, Kota would have become the house of PFI. You voted for PM Modi and he ended PFI and put them behind bars...They say that they will lift the ban on PFI. Congress is an anti-development party."

"For five years there was Gehlot-government but they did not let the Eastern Rajasthan Canal project move ahead for five years. After the Bhajanlal Sharma government came to power, within three months we signed the agreement for the Eastern Rajasthan Canal project."

Home Minister further added, "First phase of elections concluded, yesterday...On all the seats Congress has been wiped off", as per ANI.

Lok Sabha Election 2024: Amit Shah In Bhilwara Slams Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Over 'Vacations'

During a campaign rally in Bhilwara, Amit Shah exuded confidence, declaring that Rajasthan would unequivocally grant all 25 Lok Sabha seats to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a historic third term. Shah took a aim at former chief minister Ashok Gehlot, suggesting that Gehlot's focus on his son Vaibhav Gehlot's electoral campaign in Jalore was indicative of misplaced priorities within the Congress.

"The son is going to lose the election by a huge margin", the Union minister claimed, referring to Vaibhav Gehlot.

"The first phase of elections was held yesterday (Friday). All 12 seats of Rajasthan that voted in the first phase will go to Narendra Modi. Rajasthan is going to make a hat-trick of giving all 25 seats to Narendra Modi for a third time", PTI quoted Shah as saying.

Shah slammed Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, accusing them of frequently jetting off on vacations abroad, including Priyanka's recent trip to Thailand amidst crucial election periods. He claimed the Gandhi siblings are on vacation every three months. Shah said that casting a vote for Modi was a vote for the vision of a prosperous India, citing PM Modi's track record of fulfilling promises made over the past decade.

Shah also took aim at Congress leaders for their absence at the Ayodhya Ram temple consecration ceremony, suggesting their reluctance stemmed from a fear of losing voter support. He warned that those who prioritize political expediency over sacred duties like paying homage to Ram Lalla would not be forgiven by the public.

"When the Modi government was formed, terrorists attacked again in Pulwama. They forgot it was not a Congress government anymore but a BJP government and that Narendra Modi is the prime minister", Amit Shah said. He alluded to PM Modi's swift response in just 10 days, with surgical and air strikes in Pakistan. He stressed the resulting peace in Kashmir and the northeast, attributing it to Modi's leadership. Shah also noted the decline of Naxalism, crediting PM Modi's security measures.

Additionally, Shah hailed the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission as a significant achievement under Modi's government.
