New Delhi: Today, the national capital  Delhi experienced mild rain, offering some relief to the Delhiites from the blazing heat, news agency ANI reported.


Maximum temperatures in parts of Delhi fell somewhat as rain gave reprieve from the heat. Over the next 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts "very light rain or drizzle accompanied by gusty winds."






In the previous several days, maximum temperatures in the national capital Delhi have risen over 46 degrees Celsius.






The lowest temperature in Delhi on Friday was two degrees Celsius above usual, at 28.2 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The weather forecast was for a partly overcast sky with the risk of thunder and lightning.


The relative humidity was 58% at 8.30 a.m., according to the weather office.


The city's air quality was classified as moderate. According to SAFAR-India Air Quality Service data, the AQI was 206 at 9:03 a.m.


An AQI of zero to fifty is regarded excellent, 51 to one hundred satisfactory, 101 to two hundred moderate, 201 to 300 poor, 301 to 400 extremely poor, and 401 to 500 severe.
