TMC Leader Mukul Roy's Wife, Krishna, Dies Of Cardiac Arrest Early Morning
Krishna who had been suffering for a long time was recently flown to Chennai in an air ambulance for a kidney transplant.
Kolkata: Krishna Roy, Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy's wife passed away on Tuesday at a private hospital in Chennai. Krishna Roy died of cardiac arrest at 4:35 am. Her remains will be brought to Kolkata on Wednesday.
Krishna Roy had been admitted to a hospital in Kolkata last month after contracting Covid-19. She was recently flown to Chennai in an air ambulance for a kidney transplant.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in her condolence message said, "I express my deep anguish at the death of Krishna Roy. She was involved in many social work. I express my heartfelt sorrow for Mukul Roy, his son Subhrangshu Roy and all the family members".
According to a PTI report, Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee also made a visit to the hospital in which she was recuperating amid rumours of a Mukul Roy, who had left TMC in 2017 to join the BJP, returning to TMC.
West Bengal Governor, Jagdeep Dhankar too took to Twitter to offer his condolences.

One of the founding members of the Trinamool Congress, Mukul Roy returned to his old party recently after being in the BJP for four years. Mukul Roy had won from the Krishnanagar Uttar Assembly constituency on a BJP ticket in this year's West Bengal polls.
