Khalistan Supporters' Bid To Incite Violence At Indian Mission In US, Video Of Anti-India Speech Surfaces
Some Khalistan supporters protesting in front of the Indian Embassy in Washington DC were inciting people to indulge in violence and break the windows and glasses of the building across the road.
A group of Khalistan supporters protested in front of the Indian Embassy in Washington DC and as per news agency PTI, many of their speakers attempted to incite violence, but timely intervention by US Secret Service and local police prevented the situation from escalating as opposed to the vandalism witnessed in London and San Francisco.
Separatist Sikhs gathered outside the Indian Embassy in downtown Washington DC on Saturday and hurled abusive language. As per PTI's report, they openly threatened Indian Ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu who was not in the embassy at the time of the protest.
The report mentioned that some of the speakers were inciting fellow protestors to indulge in violence and break the windows and glasses of the building across the road.
In the video shared by news agency ANI, a man can be heard saying in Punjabi: "You (envoy Sandhu) should sometimes stand in front of a mirror and question what you are doing, ask yourself if 'the people I am working for are no less than (emperor) Babar and the British Empire'. You can celebrate the bloodshed of your own brothers now. One day, like (former president) Giani Zail Singh, the glasses of your cars will be shattered. Those you deem as your own will betray you in a way where you won't find a way to escape."

The protestors then go on to raise slogans of "Khalistan Zindabad".
PTI reported that the Khalistan supporters in their speeches were seen trying to incite violence not only in India but in the US as well, including physical damage to the Indian Embassy property.
The Secret Service and the local police sensied that things might go out of control and quickly brought in reinforcement as well as more forces. At least three police vans were placed in front of the Embassy, as per the report.
At one point, five protesters quickly crossed the road and were about to break into the temporary marker of the embassy property near the pole unfurling the tricolour before they were asked to leave.
Secret Service personnel rushed to the spot and asked the protesters to go back to the designated protest area before any untoward incident could happen.
As per the report, the protesters appeared to have planned on damaging Indian properties like at the Indian Consulate in San Francisco and the Indian High Commission in London.
After the attack on the Indian consulate in San Francisco by pro-Khalistan protesters last Sunday, India registered its “strong protest” with the US Charge d'Affaires in New Delhi over the incident and asked the American government to take appropriate measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
Meanwhile, a PTI reporter shared how he was heckled outside the embassy while he was covering the protest.
