New Delhi: Delhi Speaker Ram Niwas Goyal on Thursday said all the party MLAs have decided that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will not resign after the arrest. He will run the government from the jail, he said.

An ED team reached Kejriwal's residence in North Delhi's Civil Lines on Thursday evening for questioning, hours after the Delhi High Court denied him protection against "coercive action" by the agency in the Delhi excise policy case.

There was heavy police deployment around the Chief Minister's residence.

He was summoned for the ninth time by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday in connection to the money laundering case.

Several AAP leaders, including Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj, reached outside Kejriwal's residence following the raid.

AAP leaders have said that four buses of police personnel have been stationed outside Kejriwal's home. They also claimed that the road outside his residence has been blocked.

Addresing the media, Bharadwaj said, "The way police are inside the house of the CM and no one is allowed to enter it seems, the CM house has been raided. It seems, there is preparation to arrest the CM."

Atishi told reporters, "It is clear that the ED and their masters, the BJP, do not respect the courts. Had this been the case, they would not have come to raid the residence of Arvind Kejriwal today itself... This is a political conspiracy and they are here to arrest Arvind Kejriwal..."

Voicing support for Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said: "BJP's political team (ED) cannot arrest Kejriwal's idea...only AAP can stop BJP. An idea can never be suppressed."

Delhi Minister Gopal Rai said: "Modi ji's desperation to arrest Kejriwal at any cost shows that Modi is afraid of Kejriwal. But you can arrest Arvind Kejriwal, not his ideas. We will neither bow down nor sell out, we have been fighting against the injustice of Modi ji and will continue to fight."
