Arvind Kejriwal Launches Mission To 'Make India No. 1', Calls For Focus On Five Objectives
Kejriwal said that he will travel across the country as part of the mission in a bid to encourage people to join the initiative and achieve its objectives. He added the mission is apolitical.
New Delhi: Ahead of the general elections in 2024, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday launched a national campaign to make India the ‘number one country’ in the world and called upon on all the citizens and political parties to join the mission, news agency PTI reported.
Speaking at the launch of the campaign, the Delhi Chief Minister said that providing free education and healthcare to the citizens, employment to youths, equal rights and dignity to women, and fair price to farmers for their produce are needed to achieve the goal of making the country number one.
Kejriwal further said that he will travel across the country as part of the mission -- 'Make India No. 1' – in a bid to encourage people to join the initiative and achieve its objectives. He added that the mission is apolitical in nature.
"This is not the mission of a political party, it's a national mission. I call upon the BJP and all other parties to come forward and join this initiative to make India the number one country in the world," PTI quoted the chief minister as saying.
“Many countries like Singapore got independence after India but are ahead of us. Why is India lagging behind despite Indians being the "most intelligent and hard working in the world", Kejriwal added.
“God has given everything to India, then why are we left behind? If we leave the country on the leaders and the parties, then we will be left behind in the next 75 years. For some people their family is important and for some their friends. They did nothing except fill his houses for the last 75 years,” Kejriwal said.
