Bengaluru: Political turbulence is still underway in Karnataka. Where on one hand Congress and JDS are accusing BJP of buying out their MLAs, on the other hand, BJP is also accusing Congress-JDS of the same. Amid this tussle, Congress has shifted its MLAs to a resort.
Former Karnataka Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah has accused BJP Chief Amit Shah of attempting to break the coalition government, as he afraid to win only 3-4 seats in forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Siddaramiah said, “All our MLAs will stick together and we will discuss about drought. All our MPs and ministers will be at one place till required.”
He told reporters, “We will discuss about the party related matters. To save ourselves from BJP’s attack, we will discuss drought, Lok Sabha elections as well.” As per senior Congress sources, at least 8 MLAs from the party had promised to change sides. The sources said, to save ourselves from this horse trading, the MLAs have been taken to a resort in outskirts of Bengaluru.
BJP MLAs also in hotel:
BJP MLAs are still residing in a luxury hotel in Gurugram. The party said that the same is being done to save the MLAs from Congress’ horse-trading. It is yet to be asserted that when will the MLAs return to Karnataka.
The coalition government got first shock on Tuesday when 2 independent MLAs took back their support from Congress-JDS government. BJP state Chief Yeddyurappa claimed that the two are supporting his party, taking their total number of MLAs to 106.
4 MLAs miss Congress meeting:
