New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Kamal Nath is set to participate in the Madhya Pradesh leg of the ongoing 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' led by Rahul Gandhi, a party worker confirmed on Friday, news agency PTI reported.
The Congress veteran urged the people and workers of his party to join Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in the state. Taking to X, he wrote, "The people of Madhya Pradesh and Congress workers are excited to welcome Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. Our leader Rahul Gandhi has taken to the streets across the country and announced a decisive fight against injustice, oppression, and exploitation."
"I urge the people of Madhya Pradesh and the state Congress workers to become the strength and courage of Rahul Gandhi by joining the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in maximum numbers. Together you and I will bring this great campaign against injustice to an end," he added.
According to a Congress spokesperson, Nath is scheduled to arrive in Gwalior on March 2 and actively take part in the yatra till March 6. The outreach drive is scheduled to commence its Madhya Pradesh leg from Morena after Rajasthan on March 2. It will traverse various districts, including Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Ujjain, Dhar, and Ratlam before returning to Rajasthan on March 6.

The development comes amid a recent buzz that Kamal Nath and his son, Nakul Nath, a Member of Parliament from Chhindwara, were contemplating joining the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.
Meanwhile, amdi the speculations, several Congress members from Nath's stronghold, Chhindwara, switched allegiance to the BJP earlier this week, in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
