J&K: Wanted militant Mehraj Bangroo seen at ISIS militant Dawood Sofi’s funeral in Anantnag

During the funeral procession, dozens of youth pelted stones on the army.

Kashmir: Hundreds of people on Friday attended the funeral prayers of IS militant Militant Dawood Sofi Pulwama who was killed in a gunfight with government forces along with his three other. A video of the procession also showed wanted Militant Mehraj Bangroo in the crowd. The video has not been authenticated by any security agency yet. During the funeral procession, dozens of youth pelted stones on the army. The army responded by throwing tear gas at the crowd. Dawood Sofi alias Danish from Srinagar was heading the ISJK, an affiliate of ISIS. Other three who were killed were Majeed Manzoor from Talangam village in Pulwama district, Adil Hassan Mir and Ashraf Itoo, both from Srigufwara in Anantnag. Authorities have suspended mobile Internet services in Anantnag and Pulwama to check the spread of any kind of rumours. The decision on restoring the facility would be taken after assessing the situation.
