Srinagar: In three different encounters security forces killed 8 terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday and Friday; whereas two soldiers lost their lives in terror encounters in Tral and Sopore. One jawan got martyred after terrorists fired gunshots with a sniper rifle in South Kashmir’s Tral. As per sources, the terrorists launched their attack late night at 9pm on Thursday. Whereas, the second jawan lost his life during terror encounter in Sopore on Friday morning. 

During this attack, soldier Nagam Siamliyan lost his life, while he was on a ward duty. As per the officials, the soldier faced injuries on his head. The attack left another soldier injured. This is the second case in last four days when security forces have used sniper rifle to attack the soldiers.

Before this, the terrorists had attacked central reserve police force camp, where on SSB soldier lost his life.

Two terrorists gunned down in Baramulla:

The Security officials killed two terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla. As per the police officials, they launched a search operation after a tip off about the presence of terrorists, during which the terrorists opened fire on the police officials and two terrorists got killed in retaliatory firing.

Four terrorists killed in Anantnag:

Speaking of Anantnag district, in a different encounter that took place in Arvani area, four terrorists got killed on Thursday. As per police officials, heavy weapons and explosives have been seized from the site of encounter. The police officials cordoned off the area and requested the locals to stay away.




2 terrorists killed in Sopore: 

In a fresh encounter that broke out in Sopore, two terrorists neutralised and one soldier killed in action. The encounter is currently underway.
