J&K: NIA conducts raids at residence of two prominent Srinagar businessmen

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been carrying out raids at the offices and residences of separatists and businessmen in connection with the hawala scam that the NIA has been investigating.

Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) team on Tuesday raided the residence of two businessmen in Srinagar. The first raid was conducted at the residence of Fayaz Ahmad Mir at Lal Bazar and to news agency IANS, the NIA official in New Delhi confirmed that the raid location. The second Second raid was conducted at posh Nishat area of Civil lines at the house of Mehraj Ud din Mir at Ishber Nishat. The team was accompanied by Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel and CRPF. The agency has been carrying out raids at the offices and residences of separatists and businessmen in connection with the hawala scam that the NIA has been investigating. Two months ago, the NIA raid the residence of another businessman in Srinagar's Nowhatta area.
