Srinagar: Former chief minister and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) supremo Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday said she has not yet received a formal invite for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with all parties of Jammu and Kashmir.
"Yes, I have received a call, but not a formal invitation yet," she said.
The former chief minister further said that she would hold a meeting with her party’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting on Sunday to discuss the Centre’s invite for Prime Minister Modi’s meeting.
"I am holding a PAC meeting tomorrow to discuss the same and take a decision on whether to participate or not in the meeting," ANI quoted Mufti as saying.

Amid reports that the Central government may discuss restoration of statehood and other important issues concerning the Union Territory, Prime Minister Modi is likely to call a meeting with all political parties of Jammu and Kashmir on June 24.
The meeting assumes significance as it comes in tune with the Centre’s initiatives to strengthen political processes in the Union Territory, including conducting assembly elections.
The meeting is going to be the first such step since the abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status and its bifurcation into union territories - Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh - earlier in August 2019.

According to officials, the Centre has gradually begun the process of inviting National Conference (NC) chief Farooq Abdullah, PDP chairperson Mehbooba Mufti, Altaf Bukhari of the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) and People's Conference head Sajjad Lone for the discussion.
The meeting is likely to be attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other central leaders.
