Jammu And Kashmir News: A non-local tourist guide was shot at by terrorists in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. The incident took place at around 8:25 PM when the victim was guiding two foreign tourists, and they were having meals in a hotel in Hirpora in Shopian's Padpawan.
According to ABP News sources, the victim was identified as Dilranjan Singh, son of Parman Singh, aged about 45 years. The two tourists are safe in police custody, and the driver sustained bullet injuries to the abdomen and arm. He has been referred to SMHS Srinagar for further treatment. According to NDTV, the police have cordoned off the area, and they have initiated a search operation to locate and apprehend the attackers. Speaking on the incident, District Police Shopian said that a taxi driver was fired upon by terrorists in Heerpora Shopian and got injured. The search operation is going on.

Earlier, in another incident, a team comprising Anantnag police, executive magistrate and District Drug Controller recovered and seized 60 Codeine Phosphate bottles from VRL Logistics (Courier Company) from the Bijbehara area of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to an official release, acting on specific information, the team recovered and seized 60 Codeine Phosphate bottles from VRL Logistics (Courier Company) situated at Halmullah. The consignment was ordered by an individual namely Riyaz Ahmad under the banner of a local Chemist License Pharma House.
