New Delhi: In an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, one terrorist has been neutralized while one jawan also lost his life. An encounter started at Goosu area of Pulwama on Tuesday morning. Police and security forces are carrying out the operation.

One personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was  injured in an attack by terrorists on its convoy in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday morning.The Convoy was attacked by terrorists with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Gangoo area of Pulwama.

Earlier on Sunday, Pakistan opened fire along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir without any provocation. Defense spokesman Colonel Devender Anand said, "At around 7.45 pm on Sunday, Pakistan started violating the ceasefire without any provocation by firing small arms and shelling at the LoC in Balakot sector of Poonch district. The Indian Army immediately retaliated.”

Let me tell, Pakistan has violated the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir and the bilateral ceasefire on the international border more than 2,400 times so far this year.

On July1 , a heart-wrenching sight from Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore moved one and all, where a civilian was killed in front of his three-year-old grandson. The pictures that emerged depicted the child sitting on the dead body after which the toddler was taken by the Army and police personnel.
