Jairam Thakur tests Covid-19 positive: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday and has gone into self isolation. Thakur came into contact with a covid-19 positive person few days back, after which he had quarantined himself at his residence for a week. He was having some symptoms of the infection since last two day after which he decided to get himself tested. His reports were positive, he informed on Twitter.

" I am isolated in my official residence on the advice of doctors," he said. 


Earlier, Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj had also tested positive for coronavirus on October 7.  He had been under home quarantine since October 2.
Bhardwaj said his elder son tested negative, while the younger one tested positive on October 5. Bhardwaj said doctors have advised him to self-isolate after his younger son tested COVID-19 positive. The doctors also asked him to get tested in case any symptoms appear.
