An operative of the terrorist outfit Al-Qaeda was arrested on Monday with a hand grenade in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district, police said, news agency ANI reported. 






According to an official, Amiruddin Khan, a native of Mashita Haora in West Bengal, was apprehended by a police unit from Ramban along the Jammu-Srinagar national route, PTI reported. 


The official also stated that a Chinese hand grenade was recovered from the Al-Qaeda operative's hands.


A complaint has been recorded against the apprehended accused at Ramban police station under relevant sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Arms Act, and Explosive Act, and further investigation is underway, ANI reported.
