Rahul Gandhi is having meeting with interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi after a discussion with Pilot.

Exactly a month ago Sachin Pilot and 18 dissident Rajasthan legislators left Jaipur to rebel against chief minister Ashok Gehlot, the former deputy chief minister after which they were sacked from their positions.

While this might hint at the possibility of reconciliation between the sacked Deputy CM and Gehlot, the Rajasthan CM's loyalists have told party observers that stern action needs to be taken against rebel MLAs. If no action is taken against Pilot and his loyalists, the Gehlot camp MLAs fear, Congress risks sending a message of being easily arm-twisted and tolerating indiscipline.

Avinash Pande, Congress's in-charge in Rajasthan, while communicating with the MLAs at the hotel, told them that the party will not be soft towards the rebel MLAs. Shanti Dhariwal, Congress's Parliamentary Affairs Minister, lashed out at rebel MLAs belonging to the Sachin Pilot group.

Ashok Gehlot asks his MLAs to stand united

Ahead of the Rajasthan Assembly session, Sachin Pilot urged his loyalists to show their unity on the floor of the House. "We are all democratic warriors. We are going to win this war and also win the (assembly) election after three-and-a-half years," Ashok Gehlot said.

The crisis, precipitated by Gehlot-Pilot tussle, had resulted in hectic activity within the BJP camp as well. Ahead of the session, half a dozen BJP MLAs from Rajasthan have shifted to Porbandar in Gujarat.

Congress MLAs are currently holed up in a Jaisalmer hotel as the party has accused the BJP of horse-trading following the revolt by Pilot and 18 MLAs loyal to him.
