IRCTC Revamped Website Launching Today: Railway Minister Piyush Goyal is all set to launch g the revamped website of IRCTC today in the afternoon at 12 pm, which is being viewed as a major step to change the way people book their travel tickets as it will be having better features and enhanced facilities for the passengers.

The new website is expected to offer “superfast” booking of tickets as it will facilitate reservation of ten thousand tickets in one minute. Currenty 7500 tickets are booked in a minute.

According to the railway officials, after upgradation the website of IRCTC, the ticket booking speed will increase and passengers will be able to book tickets faster than before. Along with this, other facilities including food and drinks will be added from the website of IRCTC

The new features will provide better reliability to use the e-ticketing website with simple design and easy-to-access facilities are likely to transform the online passenger reservation system.

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the ticketing website of the Railways, provides the facility of online passenger reservation in the trains being run by the national transporter touching the lives of most citizens for their train travel needs.

According to railway officials, since 2014, a new emphasis is being laid on improving the public experience in booking tickets as well as travelling convenience.

Here is a look at the new features:

Booking of 10,000 tickets in a minute: The new website will allow booking of 10,000 tickets in a minute, as against the 7500 earlier ones.

Disha chatbaot: AI based chatbot Disha will be there to assist passengers in the process.

Pay later system: Reports have claimed that a new payment option “book now, pay later” has been introduced which will allow passengers to pay at a later stage. This will allow passengers to book tickets and make e-payments within a period of 15 days or on the delivery of ticket within 24 hours.
