Due to the coronavirus spread, people are advised to book tickets for the train through with the official website or the mobile app of IRCTC as these will be fully reserved trains.

All passenger train operations were suspended because of the nationwide lockdown from March 25. However, services resumed in a staggered manner with Shramik Special trains for stranded migrant workers from May 1.

As earlier stated, these trains will be in addition to the existing 30 special Rajdhani type trains that hit tracks again from May 12 and 200 Special Mail Express trains introduced back on April 1, taking the total to 310.

Passengers are advised to undertake all necessary precautions such as getting a confirmed booking, arriving at the station well in advance for screening, wear a mask, maintain social distancing, etc.
