Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a state-of-the-art health facility in Haryana's Faridabad Wednesday. The Prime Minister was accompanied by the state Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala to the event. During the inauguration speech of the Amrita Hospital, PM Modi laid emphasis on technology and modernisation to progress in healthcare sector. He also highlighted how India is progressing rapidly in the field of education and medical health facility.






The Prime Minister also spoke about the close link between healthcare and spirituality in the country and praised Mata Amritanandamayi for her efforts.






The Amrita Hospital, founded by Mata Amritanandamayi ‘Amma’ Math in Sector 88 of Faridabad, will help improve health facilities for the people of of the city, including the entire state and Delhi NCR.


The super-speciality hospital is being constructed at an estimated cost of around Rs 6000 crore, and will be equipped with 2,600 beds of which 500 will be in ICU.






The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit Mohali in Punjab Today and inaugurate Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre.


Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre will have a 300-bed facility and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities like MRI, CT, Mammography, Digital Radiography and Brachytherapy.
