Watch: Tiranga Rally In Various Parts Of Jammu And Kashmir Ahead Of Independence Day

According to the culture ministry, around 2.5 crore national flags have been supplied to post offices for sale as part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.

Ahead of the 77th Independence Day celebrations, tiranga rally was carried out in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. This comes a day after Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha participated in a mega tiranga rally in Srinagar on Sunday. A bike rally was also carried out by the over 100 personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force on Sunday as the bikers carried the tricolour flags on their bikes. The CRPF bikers took out the rally through the city from iconic Ghanta Ghar in Lal Chowk to Nishat garden on the banks of the Dal Lake. 

On Monday, the tiranga rally was taken out in the high altitude regions of Leh and Ladakh. 

The Muslim Welfare Society in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur also organised a tiranga rally as part of Independence Day celebrations. 

The Border Security Forces’ womens’ wing was seen patrolling on the Chenab river near the International Border in Jammu on the eve of Independence Day celebrations. 

According to the culture ministry, around 2.5 crore national flags have been supplied to post offices for sale as part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. Addressing a press conference in the national capital, Union Culture Secretary Govind Mohan said there is a lot of excitement in the country right now, with regard to this campaign, which saw an overwhelming response last year when it was first launched, as per a PTI report. 

"Our aim is to celebrate 'Har Ghar Tiranga' in 2023 on the same big scale and commitment as we had done last year. All preparations that were done last year have been done this year as well," he said.
