IAF strikes Pakistan: Imran Khan's ruling party in Pakistan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lashed out at Indian media for 'war mongering' after Indian Air Force bombed terror camps at multiple locations across the Line of Control in the Pakistani side early this morning. In a tweet from its official handle, the party said that the coverage of the event shows a "disturbing bloodlust and deteriorating mindset at a time when Pakistan is on an upward trajectory". "We always knew Indian media was irresponsible, but beating the war drums shows a disturbing bloodlust and deteriorating mindset at a time when Pakistan is on an upward trajectory. Indian jets scrambled back from Balakot which lies close to the LOC," PTI twitted from its official account. While our government sources have said that nearly 200-300 casualties have been reported from the strikes, Pakistan has maintained that "no infrastructure got hit, no casualties". The Pakistan Army spokesperson said that there hasn't been any casualties besides, no infrastructure got hit. He further said the technical details and other important information will follow. Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, Spokesperson Pakistan Armed Forces took to Twitter and wrote, "Indian aircrafts’ intrusion across LOC in Muzafarabad Sector within AJ&K was 3-4 miles. Under forced hasty withdrawal aircrafts released payload which had free fall in open area. No infrastructure got hit, no casualties. Technical details and other important information to follow." Meanwhile, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has also commented after combat jets of the Indian Air Force (IAF) bombed terror camps, saying that India has committed "aggression" by violating the LoC and Islamabad has "right to respond". "First, they committed aggression against Pakistan today. It is a violation of the LoC. I consider it a violation of the LoC, and Pakistan his right to give a suitable response in self defence," he told reporters after an "emergency meeting" with high-level officials at the Foreign Office (FO) for consultations. Meanwhile, Pakistani media was reporting that the Indian government has staged a symbolic intrusion due to domestic pressure. Prime Minister Khan has not commented on the issue. Hours after the strike, the Indian Army tweeted a Hindi poem which says that "if you are docile and polite before the enemy, he may consider you as a coward, the way Kauravas treated Pandavas". The poem by Hindi poet Ramdhari Singh 'Dinkar' was tweeted by Additional Director General, Public Information on its official handle. Peace overtures, the poem says, are possible only when you are in a powerful position and capable to win.
