New Delhi: Minor son of an MLA from All India Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has been named as accused with five others in the Hyderabad gang-rape case on Tuesday, as per a report by NDTV.
Among the six accused persons, only one is an adult while the other five are minors, reported news agency ANI.
“All five juveniles along with one major have been arrested. Saduddin Malik is the only adult. Of the accused, four have already been produced before Juvenile Home, the remaining two will be produced today,” said CV Anand Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, quoted by the news agency.
A teenage girl who had visited a pub in the city for a day-time party was allegedly raped by five persons including three juveniles, the police has said. The suspects sexually assaulted the girl in a Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) after they offered the girl to drop her home in the vehicle, the police added.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao had levelled allegations of AIMIM MLA’s son's “involvement” in the case. On June 4, the BJP legislator. Alleging that an AIMIM MLA's son was involved in the gang rape, he had said they have more evidence to prove the connection of the "MLA's son", though, he denied that he revealed the identity of the victim.
