Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann will visit Hamirpur in the poll-bound state of Himachal Pradesh today.  According to a tweet by Aam Aadmi’s Himachal Pradesh unit, both the CMs will introduce a new revolution in the education field.

“Now the wait will be over and Himachal will move one step further towards education revolution. Delhi's CM @ArvindKejriwal Ji and Punjab's CM @BhagwantMann Ji, tomorrow, on the 11th of June, from Hamirpur, Himachal, a new chapter of the education revolution will be written. Change is certain in Himachal, AAP's government is fixed,” AAP tweeted.

In Hamirpur, both Kejriwal and Mann will interact with the teachers and parents to discuss the state of education and the event has been named ‘Shiksha Samvad’.

AAP is trying to make education an election issue which is why the party leaders are also seen making elaborate comments on the state’s education system.

In regard to the same, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia visited Shimla on June 7 where, during a press conference, he raised questions about Himachal Pradesh’s education system.

During the press conference, he said, “In 2015, there were 10 lakh students in government schools, but now there are eight lakh students. Over 8,000 schools have just one or two teachers, and 47 percent of the colleges are without principals.”

He also compared Delhi and Himachal’s education systems and alleged that the current state government does not allow adequate funds to the education department.

“Himachal has many industries like in Baddi, yet it doesn’t have money for education. Where’s the money going? How come a minister affords to host 10 receptions in five-star facilities from Delhi to Shimla for his son’s wedding. It’s this money that should have gone into education,” he alleged.
