New Delhi: The Coronavirus has affected all students throughout the country by disrupting the academic year. While school and college students were stuck in the middle of examinations or the beginning of a new academic year, many aspirants are waiting to know the entrance exam dates.


Putting a lot of pressure on students and parents; teachers and faculty members will have to design a new academic calendar that will be flexible for students from different backgrounds while accommodating the entire syllabus in an efficient manner.

Here’s an updated list of the examinations that are to be conducted this year:

  • UPSC Exams have been postponed the new date will be after May 3

  • SLAT – Symbiosis Law School has extended the registration dates to May 10 2020, the entrance exam dates are yet to be declared according to their website

  • LSAT India – Registration are now open till 22nd May and the test date has moved to June 7

  • TS LAWCET – Registrations have been extended to May 5 and date of examination has been postponed to May 27

  • BITSAT – Registrations has been extended to April 22 and the exams have been postponed to held after May 24, but the final dates are yet to be declared

  • JEE – The registration correction dates have been extended to May 3 2020 and the exam dates are yet to be decided, tentatively to be during the last week of May

  • Combined Army Recruitment Test – The recruitment test has been postponed and is no longer on April 26 2020, the new date is yet to be declared

  • The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for submission of the form for the term-end examination to be held on April 30, 2020

  • UGC has asked all the Universities and Colleges to postpone exams till May 03, 2020

  • Haryana Class 10th and 12th exams 2020 have been postponed. New exam dates soon

  • Maharashtra SSC (10th) last exam has been cancelled. 1 to 8 class exams have been cancelled and promoted to the next session

  • CBSE 10 and 12 exams have been postponed; the new dates are to be declared soon which will be after the May 3

  • All UP-government school students of classes 1 to 8 to get promoted without exams. Schools shut till May 03, 2020

  • Aligarh Muslim University entrance tests have been postponed and the new dates are yet to be declared

  • All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) has been postponed, new dates are yet to be declared


Additionally, the Ministry of Human Resource Development of India has released a new Alternative Academic Calendar which is available on the NCERT website for primary school. It is a guide for students, parents, and teachers that will help them keep the education going during the lockdown.

An 88-page document was released which includes suggestions for teachers and students on how to stay in touch through various social media apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Blogger etc. this was done keeping in mind students and the accessibility of an internet connection.

According to the guide, “Teachers are advised to call up the parents of the students to appraise them about the conduct of the suggested activities.”

The guide also has tips to keep students fit and healthy while stuck at home during the lockdown. The guideline also contains tips for teachers and parents on how to help students cope with stress and anxiety caused due to the lockdown.
