New Delhi: It was a partly cloudy sky on Wednesday in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 29.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above the seasons average, the Met said.

"There are chances of very light rainfall with thunderstorms and strong surface winds by late evening," an India Meteorological Department official (IMD) said.

The maximum temperature was expected to hover around 44.4 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 57 per cent.

Tuesday's maximum temperature settled at 43 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.2 degrees Celsius one notch below the seasons average.
