Missing HDFC Bank vice-president murdered over personal enmity: Mumbai Police

A vice-president of HDFC bank, who had gone missing on Wednesday under mysterious circumstances from Mumbai, was murdered, the police said on Sunday citing personal enmity as a motive behind his killing.

NEW DELHI: A vice-president of HDFC bank, who had gone missing on Wednesday under mysterious circumstances from Mumbai, was murdered, the police said on Sunday citing personal enmity as a motive behind his killing. The police have arrested one person in connection with the case and said that more people are involved in the crime. His body is yet to be recovered. Siddharth Sanghvi, a resident of upscale Malabar Hill area in South Mumbai, was untraceable since Wednesday evening. On Saturday, his car was found abandoned in adjoining Navi Mumbai with blood stains on its rear seat. A missing complaint was registered at Mumbai’s N M Joshi Marg police station after Sanghavi's family approached the police as he did not return home till late night. The car of a 39-year-old bank executive was found abandoned near a high rise building at Koparkhairane in Navi Mumbai on Saturday. Blood stains and a knife were found on the rear seat of the car, a police official had said. CCTV footages of relevant sports in the two cities and Sanghavi's phone call records are being analysed for clues, he said, adding the police were exploring all angles. The Mumbai police with the help of their Navi Mumbai counterparts are investigating the case, the official said.
