Havoc In Uttar Pradesh After Mysterious Viral Fever Claims 50 Lives, MLA Says 61
Sadar MLA Manish Asija has claimed that 61 people have died due to fever and dengue so far. District Collector Chandra Vijay Singh suspended 3 doctors with immediate effect on charges of negligence.
Dengue outbreak in Firozabad: The death toll due to viral fever and dengue in Firozabad UP rose to 50 on Friday said an official. A press release issued by Chief Medical Officer Dinesh Kumar Premi on Friday morning said that 50 people have died of dengue and viral fever in the district so far after 3 people lost their lives on Thursday night.
The number of people suffering from viral fever and dengue is continuously increasing in the district although the health department officials are constantly trying to handle the situation. District officials are conducting door-to-door awareness campaigns and reviewing treatment with their team. The district collector has appointed Chief Development Officer IAS Charchit Gaur as the nodal officer.

District collector Chandra Vijay Singh suspended three doctors with immediate effect late on Thursday evening on charges of negligence. A release issued by the district collector's office said that Dr. Girish Srivastava of Primary Health Centre of Sailai, Dr. Sourav, and public health expert Dr. Ruchi Yadav have been suspended with immediate effect. The district collector further warned that strict action will be taken if any negligence is found in the treatment.

Meanwhile, Sadar MLA Manish Asija claimed that 61 people have died due to fever and dengue so far.
According to the MLA, he is constantly visiting the area to meet the victims' families and gather information about the deaths in these families. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Firozabad on August 30 to give instructions for the proper treatment of patients, he also enquired about the health of the patients.
