Rahul Gandhi was pushed to the ground in the chaos, following which the party held protests in Delhi. Demands for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s removal in the aftermath of the Hathras gang rape case have grown louder with Priyanka Gandhi saying suspending “some pawns” won’t make any difference.

Priyanka Gandhi said they were repeatedly stopped from going to Hathras on Thursday. "When we all started our march on foot with Rahul ji, we were repeatedly stopped and lathis were rained on us in a barbaric manner. Many workers were injured. But our intention is clear. "The sticks of an egotistical government cannot stop us. I wish these lathis were used by this police while standing in defence of Hathras's Dalit daughter," she said in a tweet in Hindi. In another tweet, she accused the Hathras DM of pressurising the victim's family.

ABP News team of reporters was also stopped from covering the incident and meeting the victim's family. ABP News received massive support from all over the country as people came out of their houses and started candle march demanding justice for the victim and urging UP cops to allow ABP news and perform their duty.
