Guru Purnima 2020:  India is marking the festival of Guru Purnima amid the Coronavirus pandemic, by following the norms of social distancing and avoiding temple visits. The festival of Guru Purnima is marked on the full-moon day of the Hindu month of Ashadha. It is also known as Vyasa Purnima. It is celebrated by the Hindus, Jains and Buddhists to honour one’s ‘gurus’ or teachers who guide  through  our lives towards the path of enlightenment.
