Gujarat: Two Brothers, Their 4 Children Founding Hanging In A Flat; Probe On

On Wednesday, the duo had left from their homes along with their children, after informing their wives that they were going for an outing.

Ahmedabad: In a highly shocking incident, six members of the same family including two adult brother and their four children, were found hanging in an empty flat in Ahmedabad city of Gujarat early on Friday.

According to the reports, the two deceased brothers have been identified as 42-year-old Amrish Patel and 40-year-old Gaurang Patel.

A news agency PTI report quoted inspector D R Gohil of Vatva GTDC Police Station, who said that the Patel brothers were found hanging from the ceiling in their family-owned unoccupied flat in Vatva locality.

Their children in the age group of seven to 12, included two girls and two boys. While the two girls - 9 year old Kirti and 7 year old Sanvi were found in the kitchen, two young boys Mayur and Dhruv aging 12 years, were found in bedroom.

The official said that the brothers were living separately in two different cities. On Wednesday, the duo had left from their homes along with their children, after informing their wives that they were going for an outing.



However, when all six failed to return till next day, the wives of two men went to check their family flat. They found it locked from inside. On this, they rushed to the nearby police station at mid night to seek help.

The police has registered a case and ordered for quick inquiry in the matter. While the probe in underway, police suspects that the two men might have given poisoned food to their children first and killed them before hanging themselves from the ceiling.

The claims are yet to be confirmed as the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post mortem. The medical reports are awaited.
