New Delhi: The Gujarat Frontier and the Border Security Force launched a massive search operation across 300 square kilometre after detecting intrusion of Pakistani fishing boats and men in Gujarat’s Harami Nalla on Thursday. 11 Pakistani fishing boats have been ceased while three Pakistani fishermen have been apprehended and the operations are still underway, said the BSF reports news agency ANI. 


"During overnight search operations, eleven Pakistani fishing boats were seized," they said.


 






The BSF further added that three groups of commandos have been airdropped by the Air Force helicopter from three different directions. "Commandos are closing in where the Pakistanis are hiding," they said.


Extreme marshy area, mangroves and tidal waters have made the task of the troops challenging, the security forces had informed as reported by ANI.

On Wednesday, the BSF had foiled an attempt of smuggling contraband through a drone, coming from Pakistan to the Gurdaspur sector of Punjab's Amritsar district. The security forces recovered two packets containing suspected contrabands of yellow colours, news agency ANI had reported. 


"On February 9, 2022, at about 12:50 am, alert forward troops in the Panjgrain area heard the buzzing sound of a suspected flying object coming from Pakistan side to India side. Alert BSF troops subsequently fired upon the drone. During a search in the area of village Ghaggar and Singhoke by BSF along with trained dog with a dog handler, two packets of yellow colour with suspected contraband have been recovered so far," said BSF
