Ghaziabad witnessed a big mishap on Sunday when the roof of the gallery in Muradnagar's crematorium ghat complex collapsed. It is being said that 40 people are buried in that crematorium. According to reports, as many as 22 people are suspected to be dead while several others are feared trapped under the debris who went to the cemetery to perform the last rites of their kin.

Several injured have been rushed to the hospital after being removed from the debris.  According to the information, a pillar was lying on the pillars at the crematorium in Muradnagar in Ghaziabad district. The Linter suddenly collapsed due to heavy rain leading to the accident.

The locals immediately informed the NDRF and the team is carrying out rescue operations. A huge crowd gathered on the accident spot and people are helping the NDRF to rescue the people. So far 15 people have been rushed out of the debris and admitted to the hospital. Ghaziabad District Magistrate and SSP have reached the spot.

Taking cognizance of the incident of roof collapse in Muradnagar district of Ghaziabad, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police to take immediate relief steps.

CM Yogi said that all possible help should be provided to the people affected by the incident, as well as to ensure proper treatment of the injured in the accident.

 

"I've instructed district officials to conduct relief operations & submit a report of the incident. All possible help will be provided to those affected by the incident." UP CM Yogi Adityanath.
