Former UP CM Mulayam Singh Yadav 'Quite Critical' Today, On Life-Saving Drugs: Medanta Hospital MD
Mulayam Singh Yadav, 82, was transferred to the intensive care unit on Sunday when his health worsened.
Mulayam Singh Yadav, the Samajwadi Party supremo who has been hospitalised since last week, is still critical and on life-saving medications, according to the Medanta hospital in Gurugram's health bulletin, news agency ANI reported.
Speaking about his condition, Dr Sanjeev Gupta, Medical Director of Medanta Hospital, Gurugram said: "Former UP CM & Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav is quite critical today and is on life-saving drugs. He is being treated in the ICU of the hospital by a comprehensive team of specialists."

Mulayam Singh Yadav, 82, was transferred to the intensive care unit on Sunday when his health worsened. According to sources, Yadav was having respiratory problems and was being treated at a hospital in Haryana by Internal Medicine expert Dr Sushila Kataria.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid a visit to the hospital on Friday to check on him.
"Visited Gurugram-based Medanta Hospital and enquired about former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav's health and well-being. I pray to God he gets well soon," Singh had tweeted in hindi.

Mulayam Singh Yadav's son, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, has previously visited the hospital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and numerous other political heavyweights wished Mulayam Singh Yadav a fast recovery.
Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party has warned its supporters not to rush to Gurugram.
