A crucial meeting of the farmers is scheduled on Tuesday afternoon in which the protesting farmers will discuss their further course of action. They will later hold a press conference in the evening.
PM Modi to meet farmers in Kutch: Amid the ongoing protest by farmers on Delhi borders against the Centre's new agri laws, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet members of the farming community, including Sikh cultivators in Gujarat, during a visit to Kutch district on Tuesday. A group of Sikh farmers, settled in areas near the Indo-Pak border, has been invited for an interaction with the PM, said a release by the state government's Information Department.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday alleged that the farm laws are not only "anti-farmer" but also "anti-people" and have been brought in "to benefit some capitalists". Kejriwal and AAP volunteers across the country held a day-long hunger strike on Monday in support of the farmers protesting against the three farm laws.

Amid the ongoing protests, Arvind Kejriwal and his Punjab counterpart Amarinder Singh engaged in a Twitter spat on Monday. Singh described as "theatrics" Kejriwal's announcement earlier during that day that he will observe a one-day fast on Monday in support of the protesting farmers.
