"In view of traffic disruption in NCR region due to the closure of Delhi borders, we are allowing no-show waiver & one free reschedule to passengers who couldn't report for their flights. The waiver will be valid for flights scheduled out of Delhi airport for 26th November," said Air India.

With the farmers protesting, the border of Delhi-NCR was sealed, making it a distressing day for people traveling from Delhi to NCR cities. As the Delhi police checking each and every vehicle coming in from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh made long cue of cars leading to a lot of passengers lose their flight.

Not only Air India, but private carriers such as Indigo and Vistara have said to take measures for the passengers who lost their flight on Thursday.

"Heavy traffic congestion and slow vehicle movement expected due to roadblocks on Punjab-Haryana borders. Customers traveling from Chandigarh are advised to allow more time for their journey to the airport. Thanks,” Vistara’s tweet quoted.

Meanwhile, Indigo and Spicejet in order to avoid delays asked their passengers to have enough time before leaving for the airport.

IndiGo said in its tweet, "Due to ongoing Protests at Delhi-Haryana borders, we are anticipating heavy traffic enroute to Delhi Airport. Passengers are advised to have enough travel time in hand while traveling to the airport to avoid last-minute hassle."

In the view of the farmer’s protest, the Delhi administration suspended the metro service from NCR cities earlier in the day. As per officials, the service will be available from Delhi towards the NCR regions.

With the ongoing farmer protests, during the “Dilli Chalo” march, the protesters crossed the barricades set up by the Haryana Police which led to a showdown between the farmers and the security forces at the Delhi border. Leading to which the state has closed down its borders on Thursday and Friday.

On Wednesday, the Haryana Police used water canons twice to disperse the protesting crowds. Drones were used to monitor the situation.
