New Delhi: A family of four was robbed off their belongings at gunpoint in Delhi’s Gujranwala Model Town part-2, after some unidentified men broke in to their house in the wee hours of Sunday. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the house.

While at one hand, Delhi Police Commissioner has been going out on patrols at late nights, on the other, incidents like these show that criminals are still moving around fearlessly in the city.

The incident took place when the owner of the house named Varun was parking his vehicle in his house. As he went to shut the door, three undentified men barged into their premises with revolvers in their hand and looted Varun and his wife who was sitting inside the vehicle at gunpoint. His two kids were also present inside the vehicle. Keeping in mind the safety if his family, the man gave away his belongings.

Delhi Police has claimed that the police had intercepted the robbers seen in the CCTV footage at the same night in Adar Nagar area during checking. When they did not stop, police fired at their vehicle, after which they left their motorcycle and fled in the darkness of the night. An FIR has been registered in this case and the process to nab the criminals has been initiated, police said.
