Earthquake Of Magnitude 3.2 Jolts Delhi-NCR Again

As per the updates from National Center for Seismology, the earthquake of magnitude 3.2 struck 19km South-East of Noida at 10:42 pm today.

Noida: Earthquake tremors have been felt in South-East of Noida area on Wednesday evening. As per the updates from National Center for Seismology, the earthquake of magnitude 3.2 struck 19km South-East of Noida at 10:42 pm today. There were no immediate reports over loss of life or property due to the tremors. Delhi-NCR has been witnessing a series of earthquakes over the past few weeks. One after the other, the surface of the national capital region feels a jolt sending the public into a panic. However, none of these tremors have been serious and no loss of life or property has been reported. Second within a week, the earthquake has come merely four days after two back-to-back hits in Delhi and NCR. Since April 12, national capital and its neighbouring area including Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh have experienced nearly 6-7 earthquakes. This is quite worrisome for the sates at the time when country is reeling under the coronavirus threats. On May 29, Rohtak of Haryana was the epicentre of the earthquake. Rohtak tremors were felt twice in an hour. The first earthquake occurred at 9.8 am, measuring 4.5 in magnitude. Prior to this, a low-intensity earthquake of magnitude 2.2 had hit the Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) on May 15. It was the fourth since April 12. The epicentre was 13 km northwest of Delhi.
