Dubbaka Bypoll Result 2020: Ruling TRS Wiped Out, BJP's M Raghunandan Rao Wins By 1,079 Votes

Dubbaka Bypoll 2020: The bypoll in Dubbaka Assembly was necessitated by the untimely death of sitting TRS MLA Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy in August this year due to health issues.

In a dramatic development, the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Madhavaneni Raghunandan Rao won the Dubbaka Assembly bypoll in Telangana on Tuesday. As per the results announced by the Election Commission of India after 23 rounds of counting Rao emerged as the winner of the Dubbaka Assembly bypoll in Telangana after defeating his nearest TRS rival Solipeta Sujatha by a margin of 1,079 votes. FOLLOW HERE | MP, Gujarat, UP Bypolls 2020 Results LIVE Updates: BJP Wins 20 Seats Out Of 58 In 11 States; Congress Wiped Out In MP As showed on the official website of the national polling body, the saffron party secured 62,772 votes, the losing TRS candidate secured 61,302 votes while the distant third Congress could garner only 21,819 votes. In terms of the vote share, Bharatiya Janata Party secured 38.21 per cent votes, while TRS bagged 38.08 per cent votes. The bypoll in Dubbaka Assembly was necessitated by the untimely death of sitting TRS MLA Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy in August this year due to health issues. The voting for the assembly was held on November 3. The counting of the votes began at 8 AM on November 10 at the Indore Engineering College in Siddipet and was completed in 23 rounds. The main contest was among the ruling TRS, BJP and Congress along with 20 others. Meanwhile, counting is underway for the results of 58 assembly seats across 10 states - Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha, Manipur, and Telangana, among others. In Karnataka, BJP won both RR Nagar and Sira seats. In Manipur, BJP candidate Oinam Lukhoi Singh has won the Wangoi seat while BJP candidates Paonam Brojen Singh and Ngamthang Haokip have been leading from Wangjing Tentha and Saitu seats respectively.
