The temperature in the national capital has dropped as a result of light rain and strong gusts. The weather department's forecast for today is for a 'generally cloudy sky with light rain,' news agency ANI reported.


For the previous two days, the city has been getting light to moderate rainfall with gloomy sky.

The lowest temperature is predicted to be about 25 degrees Celsius, while the highest is forecast to be around 32 degrees Celsius.

On Monday, the minimum temperature was 23.6 degrees Celsius, which was five degrees below usual. Yesterday, however, the maximum temperature was 32.8 degrees Celsius, which was six degrees below usual.


According to IMD's seven-day prediction, gloomy skies are expected in the national capital until Thursday, with the risk of rain.

On June 27, the weather service predicts a mostly overcast sky with the risk of rain or thunderstorms, with a high temperature of 35 degrees Celsius.


While the city has began its pre-monsoon activities, the southwest monsoon is likely to arrive in Delhi around June 30.
