New Delhi: Reacting to the allegations of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councilor Tahir Hussain's involvement in violence that took place in northeast Delhi on Sunday afternoon, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that no one, be it any party, should be spared if they are responsible for inciting violence.

"Any person found guilty should be given strict punishment. If any Aam Aadmi Party member is found guilty, he or she should be given double the punishment," AAP Chief told reporters while addressing a press conference explaining steps taken by Delhi government to tackle the situation.

Kejriwal further said that even if anyone from his cabinet is found guilty, must be punished. " I personally believe that there should not be any politics when it comes to national security and clashes," he said.

When asked about his remarks on the issue, Kejriwal said, "Why are you asking for remarks.. Is this how we will run our criminal justice system? If anyone is accused from our side, give them double the punishment, but stop politicising national issues."
