Delhi: SHO transferred to police lines after picture with god woman massaging his head goes viral

The officer was transferred to police lines soon after the incident came to light.

New Delhi: A Station House Officer (SHO) was handed over transfer orders to a lesser post after a picture of him with a sadhvi massaging his head during working hours went viral on the social media. In the picture, which seems to have been taken in his office, the police officer identified as SHO Indrapal can be seen seated with his eyes closed and taking blessings from the self-styled god woman, Namita Acharya, who is standing behind him with her palms over his head. The officer was transferred to police lines soon after the incident came to light. After the photo went viral on the internet, SHO gave his clarification on the matter. He said that he was quite upset for a long time and on someone's advice he went up to Sadhvi to take energy healing therapy from her. After the photograph surfaced, Indraprat was sent to the police line. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police is investigating the matter. However, this is not the first incident of its kind that has surfaced. In October last year, a similar incident had come to light from New Delhi's Vivek Vihar Police Station, when a picture of self-styled god woman Radhe Maa, sitting on the chair of the SHO, went viral on social media. The SHO, Sanjay Sharma, was seen standing beside her with his hands folded. She had come to attend a Ramleela event and due to a heavy crowd, SHO Sharma had taken her to the police station.
