New Delhi: Delhi reported 1,204 fresh Covid-19 cases, 863 recoveries and one death in the last 24 hours, according to data shared by the health department on Tuesday. The national capital saw more than 1,000 cases of Coronavirus for the fifth consecutive day. 


During the same time, the city even reported a death and witnessed a spike in the positivity rate, which stood at 4.64 per cent.


With this total active cases in Delhi now stands at 4,508. The number of Covid patients hospitalised was at 114. On Monday, Delhi had logged 1,011 cases. 


The number of tests conducted in a day were 25,963. 


Mumbai reported 102 fresh Covid-19 cases, the highest one-day rise after February 27 this year, taking the tally of infections to 10,59,433, the city civic body said. The Covid-19 death toll remained unchanged at 19,562 with no fresh fatality reported.


Over 86% Adult Population Now Vaccinated: Govt


Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya informed that over 86 per cent of the adult population is now fully vaccinated. With this, the cumulative vaccine doses administered in the country crossed 188 crore.






Today, over than 19 lakh (19,67,717) vaccine doses have been administered till 7 pm, said the Central government's data adding that daily vaccination tally is expected to increase with the compilation of the final reports for the day by late night.


The Health Ministry data also stated that over 46,044 precaution doses of Covid-19 vaccine were administered in those aged 18-59 years till 7 pm, taking the total number of precaution doses given in this age-group to 5,15,290 so far.
