Amid the ongoing protests by Congress against party's interim President Sonia Gandhi's questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the National Herald case, a video of Youth Congress chief BV Srinivas being manhandled by Delhi Police has gone viral on social media. The one minute, 33 seconds long video shows a Delhi Police official pulling Srinivas' hair while other cops try to put him inside a police vehicle.
The video was shared by several Congress leaders. Soon after the video went viral on social media, Delhi Police issued a statement and clarified that a disciplinary action would be initiated against the staff after identification.
"We are trying to identify the staff. Disciplinary action would be initiated against the staff after identification," Delhi Police said.

In the video, Srinivas can be heard saying, "They hit me. They pulled my hair."
The incident took place hours after scores of Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, was detained by Delhi Police during the protests against Sonia Gandhi's ED questioning, inflation, GST and unemployment.
Workers and leaders of the grand old party held protests in several states including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and others.
In Delhi, Rahul Gandhi and several other party MPs were detained by police at Vijay Chowk. This is the second day of the Congress president's questioning by the ED in a money-laundering case pertaining to the National Herald-Associated Journals Limited case.
Rahul Gandhi and others were detained as they had assembled in Parliament and marched towards Vijay Chowk on their way to the Rashtrapati Bhavan to draw the president's attention to the alleged misuse of central agencies by the government.
The Wayanad MP was put in a police bus but officials did not disclose where he was being taken to. The other Congress MPs were detained and taken away in separate police buses.
