New Delhi: The Delhi Crime Branch has arrested two people for sending intelligence information related to the Indian Army to the ISI. One of the accused is an army clerk. According to the Delhi Police, the names of the accused are Habib-ur-Rahman and Paramjit.
Habib-ur-Rahman was arrested by the Crime Branch from Pokhran, Rajasthan, after receiving a tip-off. Police recovered all the intelligence documents and maps related to the army establishment. As confirmed by the Delhi Police, Naik Clerk Paramjit was posted in Pokhran earlier. His current posting was in Agra.

Habib-ur-Rahman was the army's supply contractor in Pokhran and Paramjit had come in contact with him when he was posted there. According to the Delhi Police, Paramjit and Habib-ur-Rahman were leaking intel related to the army establishment, training, maps of the army's secret locations, and confidential letters. Habib-ur-Rahman was sending this information to his ISI bosses in Pakistan via WhatsApp.
Paid through 'Hawala' for leaking information
According to the police, Habib-ur-Rahman's relatives live in Sindh, Punjab (Pakistan). He went to meet them 2 years ago. He then came in contact with the ISI and when he returned to India, he started spying for them. It was Rahman who persuaded Paramjit to provide intel by luring him with money.
They were paid through 'Hawala' for providing information to Pakistan. The police also recovered multiple bank accounts in their names. Police sources say that Paramjit had received about Rs. 9,00,000 for leaking information. The police suspect that this spy network may lead to more people. They are investigating the matter in detail.
