The country's first grain ATM has been installed in Gurugram. Consumers will get the direct benefit of this because after the establishment of Grain ATM, consumers will no longer have to stand in long queues to get food grains in front of government ration depots. Along with this, the complaint of irregularities in getting ration will also be removed. Haryana Government had decided to set up Grain ATMs for the consumers. Actually this decision has been taken under the pilot project, due to which these ATMs will be installed in many cities. 


At the same time, the Deputy Chief Minister of the state Dushyant Chautala said that by installing grain ATMs, along with saving the time of the public, they will be able to get ration in the right measure. Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala said that the real purpose of setting up Grain ATM is 'Right Quantity to Right Beneficiary'. This will eliminate the hassle of shortage of food grains at government depots. The Deputy CM said that after the successful pilot project in Farrukhnagar, Gurugram, a plan has been made to install these food supply machines at government depots across the state.


What does grain atm machine do?


Grain ATM is an automatic machine, which works on the lines of a bank ATM. This machine, to be installed under the United Nation's World Food Program, is called Automated, Multi Commodity, Grain Dispensing Machine. At the same time, officer Ankit Sood said that the disturbance in the grain with this machine is negligible.


Will all types of grains come out of the machine ?


A biometric system with touch screen has also been installed in this grain machine. To bring food grains from this machine, the beneficiary will have to enter the number of Aadhar, Ration Card. At the same time, three types of grains will be bring out through the machine, which include wheat, rice and millet.
