Delhi-NCR Weather Today: People from New Delhi and surrounding areas will have to brace themselves for hotter days in the coming five days. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the next 5 days and has expressed the possibility of a heatwave. According to the Meteorological Department, by April 8, the maximum temperature in Delhi can reach 42 degrees celsius.


IMD has advised people not to leave their house in the afternoon (12 pm to 3 pm) without any reason and to drink plenty of water. Meteorological department officials said hot weather conditions in northwest India have turned 'severe' due to the prolonged absence of rain.


Some parts of Delhi crossed 40 degrees Celcius in Delhi on Tuesday. Najafgarh reported 40.2, Pitampura 40.6, and Sports Complex 40.7 degrees Celsius. Also, at present, there is no chance of rain till the second week of April and the weather is likely to remain dry.






How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR today?


- On Tuesday, the humidity level in the air in Delhi was 16 to 46 percent.


- The maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to be 40 and the minimum temperature is 19 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Heatwave is expected to increase.


- The maximum temperature in Noida is expected to be 42.2 and the minimum temperature is 28.1 degrees Celsius. The weather will be dry.


- The maximum temperature in Gurugram is expected at 41 and the minimum temperature is likely to be 22 degrees Celsius. The weather will be clear.


“The weather is expected to be dry and hot in the coming days as rain is unlikely. Heatwave conditions are expected for the next 10 days,” said RK Jenamani, senior scientist, IMD.
