New Delhi: Around 310 students of Rani Jhansi Sarvodya Kanya Vidyalaya had to be rushed to the hospital on Saturday morning after a gas container leaked near the school.

All the students started feeling suffocate and had to be admitted to the hospital immediately.

Speaking on the incident, school Vice principal said, “As soon as the leak took place students complained of irritation in their eyes and throats and the teachers with no delaying rushed them to the nearest hospital”.

Students reached hospital in a bad condition and therefore, had to be hospitalised; few of  them were given medicines and sent back home.

As soon as the incident took place CATS ambulances and police were informed who rushed to the spot with masks on their faces.

The reason of the leak is yet to be confirmed.

All the students have been sent back home. Also, the cops have initiated a probe to find out how the leakage took place.

Speaking on the matter Deputy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodia said that, "I will go to meet the students in hospital. The school has been evacuated. The students complained of eye-irritation and suffocation post which they were hospitalised. Have asked the DM to submit a report."
