A truck had rammed into the vehicle in which the girl was travelling with her two aunts and lawyer. She and her lawyer were grievously injured while her aunts succumbed to their injuries.

According to the chargesheet, on July 28, 2019 between 12.45 pm and 12.50 pm, accused Ashish Kumar Pal was driving the truck on the wrong side of the road coming from Raibareilly side towards Lalganj side in a rash and negligent manner.
